I don't care what anyone says... Diddy is a shady dude, period.
I respect his hustle and his grind.
But as others have said, the percentage of artists that have gone to the Bad Boy graveyard is way too high for me to give son a pass.
Most artists in the game who feel they are getting jerked, usually end up elsewhere. Cash Money... BG bounced and dropped albums elsewhere. Juvy too. Manny even.
Bow Wow? Bounced, still making music.
Cam? Bounced, still made music.
Mobb Deep... The Game... Fat Joe... Even the TS dudes under Joe were still putting out music after airing their issues w/Joe to the public. Remy & Cuban dropped albums and were still making music despite accusing Joe of snaking them.
My point is, too many of Diddy's artists pretty much disappear from the music biz once they realize that Diddy is *$!%%#+ them and they make noise about it. The exception is the LOX. And they had to go through a public campaign to get PARTIAL freedom from their deal. From what I last remember, Puff still eats off of those dudes.
Why doesn't Diddy work with his artists the same way Birdman did or 50 did (w/Game) or Cam did w/Elz, etc.
Now I'm not saying I know everything or that I'm 100% correct. But the bottom line is that Diddy is SHADY. Still don't see why Nicki or Ross needed him.
