and you apparently haven't seen the trick... its pretty useful when you need a few extra lines of work effortlessly...

one of the 48 laws of power is to not overexert yourself unnecessarily... make your work look as if it came with ease and god like speed...
this periodtrick doesn't make him fail at life.. it saves him valuable time that he may not have to spare...
