I believe Puma had the head start on Boost tech but somehow they only released very few models of NRGY.

Both looks identical but how about the cushioning? Is NRGY softer than Boost? NRGY also comes with soft insole to complement the Foams.

It's the same stuff basically. Both shoes consist of a plastic that is called "expanding thermoplastic urethane" and both were created in conjunction with the chemical company BASF who developed the technology. You won't be able to feel a significant difference.

it's sad Adidas got such a huge hype & followers while for Puma there's virtually none.

Puma is actually doing very well, they are just in a different market place compared to Adidas and Nike - they mostly cater to young men aged 14-25 and Puma mostly caters to women nowadays. That's why the brand may seem "invisible" at times if you focus on sneakers for your gender but the brand has been on the rise for a long time now.
Besides that - there is no brand that uses materials on commercially available shoes that are as good as Pumas. They have the best quality control by far currently, probably a notch before Asics.
