Just wanted to give everyone an update on how my playing experience is in the Huarache 2k4 OT.
I had these shoes when they first came out back in 2004, so I was really excited that they were retroing.
First few hoop sessions told me these needed a lot of break-in. Once they were broken in, they felt better.
However, when comparing these to the Air Jordan 38s that I’ve been hooping in alongside them, I don’t think these are up to standard. At least not for me. The heel cushioning is a big issue and I’ve noticed multiple times having pain in my right heel after hoop sessions in them.
These are still pretty solid hoop shoes. I guess it may be depends on the type of socks or Support that your foot is used to.

Be patient with them. The '07 lasers were the first 2K4s I hooped in, and they weren't very good for the first few wears, but after they broke in, they were one of my favorites for years. You could also just need more cushioning than you did 22 years ago

My pair arrived today.
Very nice even person. I can tell after a few wears, the zoom air will be more responsive. Overall, definitely a good purchase for under retail..
