Hulk Hogan Dead at age 71

Don't put famous people on a pedestal
I personally don’t, and don’t really care that Hulk Hogan died. In the 80s/90s most of his fanbase were kids, so they didn’t really know what Terry was like. To me Hulk Hogan is a fictional character like Superman or Batman.

I’m more asking for other people’s opinions.

When is it ok to separate the art from the artist?

Is it ok to like someone’s music if they are a POS?

Is it ok to like a movie if they actor/director is a POS?

Is it ok to like a team/athlete if they’re a POS?

Where do lines get drawn?

I don’t have any expectations for any of these people to begin with. I’m not expecting them to meet any moral standards or criteria I have which they never willingly agreed to sign up for. Unless they’re a genuinely good person who does alot of good outside of their career. I really don’t care much for them outside of their respective career.

That being said, to me there’s a difference between liking them and acknowledging that they’re good at their craft. R Kelly is one of the greatest r&b singers of all time who put out a bunch of classic hits. I’ll acknowledge that. I also think he’s an absolute terrible person and a predator who deserves to be in jail. Me acknowledging he was a great music artist doesn’t mean I like him. If anything it sucks that such a ****** person had that talent.
