I Hate Myself

Take that negative energy and emotions and use it for your writing. Keep a journal, jot down how you feel and why you feel that way. Use it as a means to get out of writer's block and finish your manuscript.

We've all been in that funk, heck some of us are still in it, but you have to accept where you are in life as you make strides to change it. Self-hatred will get you nowhere. This very well could be a mountain or it could be a molehill. Scale it to discover who you are and love that person you find, unconditionally.

Hate to see NT fam struggling, but stay positive and get it together. If you have good outlines, give yourself that kick to start writing man

Quit hating and feeling sorry for yourself, it's sounds like you're your own worst enemy. Sounds like you need to find some confidence and motivation to accomplish what you want. If it's not going to get in the way of your friendship, try talking to your friend's ex, ask her out on a date (don't choke her, though). As far as your writing, just do it. You said you already have your outlines, so go from there, start on a draft. Your problems are only as big as you make them, and hating yourself isn't going to fix anything.

I just feel like where I am in life right now is a joke compared to what I'm capable of. I feel like an assclown. I wanna bang my best friend's ex for no particular reason. I just wanna **** and choke the **** out of her. I'm indifferent to my job and feel like I'll dread doing it in a few months, let alone a few years. My writing career has been basically nonexistent. I have some nice outlines and plenty of notes I wanna work on but the desire to actually get started and find that rhythm has been lacking. I just need to vent and Ninjahood won't let me post in the TAN :rolleyes

Swear I just posted this yesterday (well, minus the hate-**** for my friend's ex). I know this feeling intimately...I feel like I'm capable RIGHT NOW of doing way more than people that are being paid handsomely to do what they do. You know what you want to do in life, and any other job is just going to be that--work. Nobody likes work. You're paying the bills until your talent can, that's all.

If you want my opinion, you should go back and reread some of your old ideas...sometimes I do it just to get excited about the potential that some of them have. Another thing that works sometimes is to take a while to do absolutely nothing--the motivational equivalent of a sensory deprivation tank--and see what visions come to you as a result. In my view, you just need a kick in the ***. Here it is, bro.

Let that knowledge that you deserve better be your fuel. You don't want to do whatever you do, but that's exactly what you'll be doing if you don't put some work in on it. You say you're a writer...do you want to make a liar out of you?

Good luck busting out of your funk, man.

Go on a vacation.

I was in a similar funk about a year and a half ago and I went to south beach and it cleared my head.

never understand self hate. lot of nters is mad soft. lighten up

a positive mental outlook on your life should help john boy. sometimes we have a lot to be thankful for but when our mindset forces us to compare what "little" we have as compared to our peers/social circle/idea of where we should be at this point in the game, we feel like we're useless. It's tough bump to get through but the best thing to do is find a way to get where you need to get to (determined from your own aspirations) and go all in. It's a lot of work but when you fill your day with work either you give yourself or is preferably given to you (like in school) you'll find you have little to no time to worry about anything.

Go back to school or take a class that will help you. Go take a writing class or work on narratives or grammar trying to be as proficient in a certain style or way of looking at writing as you can.

SMH @ those trying to get cheap lulz...

yall be reaching man...

to OP... give us a little more insight to your life... how old are you, what do you do, and where are you headed...

also, what do you want to ultimately do?

OP, you're not alone. I've been looking for a job for about a month now and still no luck. That should put a little bit of positiveness of you having a job.

no offense, but don't do any of that.
we can't really help you bruh.
"stay positive"
"it's not so bad"
"blah blah blah"
none of that helps.
just analyze your life and yourself and just try to change things for the better. NT can't help a man be a man bruh.
best of luck w/ it though OP.

NT can't make a man a man, but you guys would be surprised how beneficial words of encouragement, even from complete strangers on a message board to which you have some attachment, can be. It's definitely better to read someone telling you to "stay positive" than to "stop being so soft".

OP is a good dude in my book. I hope things turn around for you. I know what it's like to feel as if your life is in disarray. My inbox is open (word to the Raptor 7s :lol)

OP, I hear you . . . just remember, the first noble truth is that LIFE IS SUFFERING.

once you accept this, it won't bother you so much, then you can move on and begin to address why you are suffering . . .
