Today I was suppose to go to a group interview at the Nike Factory in Dawsonville, Ga. at 2pm. The problem is that Dawsonville is over an hour away from whereI stay. My car is a piece of crap and would not survive 30 minutes of the trip before it ran hot. There is no alternate way to Dawsonville. No Marta and noXpress. This was the chance to get my foot in the door. The position I was being interviewed for is the Sales Associate position. If anyone knows, how is thepay and the benefits for Nike?

you didnt miss anything. trust me. I would know.

Pay is typical of any standard retail chain. Benefits are only offered to Full-time employees starting out. If you're part-time...you have to wait 12months...possibly more if you fall short of the Open Enrollment period. Even then... the benefits packages that are actually worth anything are expensive, andthere a certain restrictions for Nike to match their contribution to offset your costs.
You get a pair of shoes every 5 months (up to the Manager's discretion...some limit it to $49.99 priced shoes

It really isnt that great of a job...I've been here for 3 years

Shipping/Recieving is where it's at, if you have a choice. Sales Associates FTL

If you stay for 15 years tho...you get a lifetime discount

Man you made this sound like you were actually going to be doing something special. When it comes to working retail, more chances will come up. If it reallymeans a lot to you, you should've called before hand and told them you were having car trouble, or even call them now.

i've been w/ nike for 2.5 years now and its paid off way past the discount. i've been on stretches (one on campus) and even got a few perks (box seatinvitations to blazer games). i think if you are going to do retail, it only pays off if you are in oregon, truthfully. past that, the pay is low and you gottaget on swoosh for your sneaker benefit. since they made jordan product full price, its a rip-off. that is unless you feel like driving to memphis. i'm atthe beaverton ES so my situation is a tad bit different.

factory sucks anyway. well, the retail end sucks as a whole if it's not your forte.

. The pay ain't even all that anyways. You will eventually find an evenbetter job in the future and you will realize that working for at some NIKE outlet store ain't even all that.

Hold up. Of all the money nike makes a year, they cant even pay even pay their employees good.

nikes a terrible job... the only perks/benefits is the 30% discount... otherwise it sucks...

u should actually be luck other than the free comp shoes ery 6 months and the discount(which doesn't really benefit u since ur not near a niketown)....itain't that great of a job...other dude is right tho s&r is the best u can get away with doin nuthin all shift.
