He rocked the %!@# out of those Japanese character button ups and baggy black jeans and even put some nunchucks in the water bottle holder thing in his LL Bean backpack

That kid and the OP are probably cousins

Never IN MY LIFE wore the yugioh or dragonball Z button ups.
