I need Help Jailbreaking/unlocking 1st gen. iphone.

i just bought my homies 1st gen iphone foo cheap and....
ive tried google but theres so many ads for programs i know that they were free when i did this for a friend 2 years ago but i cannot foo the life of me findthe links i found before. please help any help is apprecited =[

plug it in...when you click on the iphone on your itunes it will tell you where it give the run down of whats on the phone...
