I need laptop help

My son was playing with my laptop and he froze the cursor somehow. Now i am unable to use it. I can use everything besides the touch pad. Anybody know how to unlock that? Thanks

try taking out the battery.

Get an input device to use the cursor i.e. mouse from a desktop. See if that'll work and if it does, just restart it.
If that doesn't work then take it to your local geeksquad or whomever you know is into fixing laptops. 

Or you can try troubleshooting it via control panel yourself, but I don't recommend that unless you've done it before.

Don't take out the battery because that'll damage the laptop..

I believe he pressed a button because he wasnt banging on it.

There may be a function key associated with the trackpad on your laptop.  It's typically located by the F keys.  Otherwise, try taking out the battery and see if it'll reset it.
