I never knew that......

Knew they were racist but damn

Went to the National Museum of African American History and Culture years ago and saw a LOT. But one of my favorite things was on I think the 3rd floor. It's an exhibit about Jesse Owens and (there's probably an image online someplace) its a plaque about how before black people were allowed to participate in the Olympics, athletics were considered a form of intelligence. As soon as Jesse Owens got in there blazing fools, all of a sudden now it wasn't, and instead the more athletic you were the dumber you were.

White people have a good long history of just flipping whatever is happening to try to make themselves look superior.

For a modern day example, look at that black olympic skater that did a flip or something else ridiculously amazing, and got disqualified. Essentially, IIRC the white skaters couldn't do it so it was banned. So her medal got taken away. Something like that.

My brother in law would probably do that for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Looking up what bridge and I think it is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. That's wild, I find it pleasant. Didn't realize people had serious fears of it.

Years ago, we had a truck driver at my job totally freak out on the Coronado Bridge in San Diego. He pulled over on the bridge, called our dispatch office and said he couldn't cross. We had to send out a replacement driver to take over.
