i pod touch upgrade help

has anyone upgraded their i pod touch to 3.0 yet?
it cost 9.95 and i dont want to pay it
can anyone teach me how to get it cheap. i mean real cheap

been thinking about ugrading my first gen touch with 3.0, read up on it, still don't see it as remotely necessary for the Touch. Until enough apps startrequiring it I'm passing

There's not really a lot of updates involved, just some small stuff that looks different. In notes you can type in landscape, it adds voicerecorder, and in the ipod player the font is different and it shows the artist, song title, and album. Again, nothing major but I like the new look of it andI noticed it immediately.... oh, and also you can shake it to shuffle songs. I thought that was pretty dope.
