I never understood these excessively fast cars. People who can afford them will probably never push them to the limit out of sheer fright. And if one does try to max it out, the boys in blue will have the copter in the sky tracking you when you slow down. Unless you're on the autobahn or something, you're not even thinking about taking that car up to 273mph. Plus, it's lacking da aesthetics.

Give me a carerra gt and I'll be fine.

that's the point, its excessive. these engineers and designers love to push the limits and raise the bar.

if people didn't do that what would people be using as their daily drivers today?

I've driven 125 and didn't like that feeling 200 let alone 270+ nah dog I'm cool :x :{

These cars are going to feel much different at 125, and even at, 200 than whatever car you were in did.  Not a diss, just sayin...

Point is to have a car that can go faster. You can do it and there are places like the bonneville that you can do the speed at. They are also important because its a tech boost so thats good for everyone.

exactly where can you even drive this car to try and get close to it's potential? nowhere? oh.

Beltway 8 Houston, TX beckons you, sir.

I believe the highest ticket ever recorded in the US was in Houston, in a Koenigsegg matter of fact.

man, i live in houston. there's so many cops on beltway 8. and there's always traffic unless it's the middle of the night

Imagine if you wrecked going 270 mph. Body would look like Chicken of the Sea tuna :{

Those are some crazy numbers...

But it seems like there's too much of a fascination on straight-line speed.  I'd like to see how well this car performs on the Nordschleife.

What we already use today, regular speed cars.

The point is that alot of what we use in our everyday life, comes from engineers pushing the boundaries of things that seemed ludicrous a while ago.

Exactly. After Airport(on the south end) it a long straight of nothing but highway.
