to head up north, would East Coast Hip Hop be the same?

would SUC/Swisha House/ESG/everybody in Texas have sounded the same, or even got down with Preemo period?

i was thinking about this earlier, and i think he had a significant impact in the way both turned out today.

discuss.

lol at the thought of guys like fat pat and tray over preemo beats

*Fixed*

R.I.P Fat Pat

He probably would have never blew up. I think he left Houston for a reason and I'm glad he did.

I'm not hating on Houston, I'm just saying there is only a couple of Houston dudes I think could spit on a Premo beat.

naw Houston got madd emcee's but we just have no real underground scene for hip hop....ain't body checkin for you out here unless rappin' but theregular ol bull$$$$

If Premier never left Houston....

Illmatic,Reasonable Doubt,Gangstarr Albums,The Sun Rises in The East, Tracks he gave Biggie,Rakim,KRS-One,Bahamadia wouldn't be Classic

Preemo did right going up north, it was like his calling or something. I really can't see that many H-town rappers jumping on a Preemo beat. After Scarfaceand Bun B, who else would sound good on a track of his. I'm sure somebody else would but no names come to mind quickly.

Better yet, if Preem never left would there be a different sound coming from the H altogether? Like....the only reason ya'll know about Mike Jones nem isbecause that sound was hot so they pushed it and made it national. But if Preem made the H hot with his sound, ain't no telling how many Nas-es or Jay-Zscould have come from the H influenced by that man's sound.

He would have flourished, Screw loved a lot of east coast stuff. I'm sure his music would have molded down to the sound of southern history and it'smusical background though.

for making this post either way.

Houston and the south in general would have a different sound and screw would of have been a part of it too.
