iMac Users/Xbox 360; WHEN IS THIS COMING OUT!?

Apogee's new HDMI adapter will put any kind of high definition sources right inside your iMac 27-inch 2560 x 1440-pixel screen, including Blu-ray players, Xbox 360, and PS3. How is this sorcery possible?

The adapter works with the Mini DisplayPort in the iMac 27", which is bi-directional. Right now, only this model of iMac supports this video standard.

It supposedly is out already for order. I'm waiting for Atlona's DP400. Reps from Atlona say that the converter will allow any HDMI connect to be ranon the native 27" screen. I've been following a thread over at macrumors.com and there have been people who have been finding solutions for thismassive display. Once I hear that the a converter is set, I will be purchasing that ASAP.

doesnt the Imac 27 inch cost around 2 gs plus thats BASE model. It would be cheaper to just 40 inch tv plus a Imac mini and ps3 and 360

The base model is around $1600. You're forgetting that the 27inch iMac is a powerful piece of hardwareas a computer.

I understand that the resolution is higher for computing, but for 360 you'll be limited to 720p, and 1080p for ps3/blu-ray.
