In your opinion, what is the stupidest team name in all of sports?

Was a topic I heard on sports talk radio when driving home from work, obviously stemming from the idiotic choice to rename the Hornets the Pelicans.

So what do you guys think is the worst team name in sports? Doesnt matter what level. Professional sports....College mascots.......Minor Leagues....whatever.

Candidates?
 
wtf is a Packer?!

like if its something native to Sconsin, ok.

I'm just glad that when my grandpappy left that state and moved to Chicago he became the Bears fan and passed that along.

Pelicans gonna be up there.
I never liked the HoneyBadgers.
Dolphins I think is a horrible mascot/name, but it grew on me living in south Florida.
 
I randomly started cracking up at the bobcats name during yesterday's game

So I'll go with them.

Oh yea and then the fact that they have "cats" written across the front of their jersey smh :lol:
 
The Thunder. Sounds like a team name 8 year olds would come up with
 
The Los Angeles Lakers.

Seriously though, how many lakes are there in Los Angeles? (I am well aware of the history of the team....doesnt make the team name any better)
