Not sure if posted, but here’s how to get Udemys entire library for free

You must first have a library card from one of their accepted libraries. Then create an account

After you have you Gale account, create a Gale-Udemy account and you’ll have access to Udemys library free 🙌🏾

Btw, many libraries you can get a library card online. All you need is your library card barcode to sign up on Gale

Berkeley Public Library works for this for my Bay Area folks!

I did get hit up for one of those and one of the first thing they mentioned was if you're open to relocation. From my research folks talked about the Google data center environment fondly though, with great yearly comp and opportunities to grow.

I got LinkedIn premium so now when I apply to opportunities on there, I can see all kinds of data sets: how many applicants, average age of who applied, how many, geographical location, education, etc. How does one even break through on the fully remote opportunities? I think I have mabe been contacted 2 or 3 times from LinkedIn, but literally places are getting 100s of applications a day especially if they have Easy Apply option available.

Also these jobs are getting OD with requirements. I realize experience can be concurrent but you see 5 years Windows, 5 Years Linux, 5 Years VDI experience, etc. one time I added it up and it was like 40 years experience. How old do you want an applicant to be? Think its jsut another gatekeep
Been meaning to update my resume and just look around but even looking at job descriptions is tiring. Most of the times the duties/skills don’t even align anymore. Then if you make it to an interview everything is numerous rounds of just a pissing contest.

Literally the first line on my LinkedIn profile is that I’m not open to entertain any job offer at this time or in the near future (no exceptions), yet random companies or recruiters just keep spamming job offers at me every single day and it’s getting tiring.

Is there some LinkedIn tech I’m missing here to at least minimize the recruiter spam?
My workplace is a literal utopia and if it were up to me I’d never leave.

Then if you make it to an interview everything is numerous rounds of just a pissing contest.
Can’t lie, I understand the numerous rounds of interviews. The tech influencers created a lot of phonies so companies are doing their due diligence

I wish there was LinkedIn tech to block the deluge of financial advice folks who request to connect.

Couple fully remote sys admins. I didnt call on them but i have to imagine over 100k doe. Just call the recruiter or email, worst case if you are nervous and want to name drop me as a colleague who forwarded it to you just PM me for my Government

That's bold to be asking for all that and offering that. We want someone with some of the most in demand skills at a low pay.

Yea at this point Im convinced Hr departments or whoever does listings are far disconnected from the It department or whoever they’re creating listings for and just throw in all the buzzwords they know. Sys admins aint doing nothing with AI other than googling "how to ...." for something they have never done like creating a GPU the first time and using powershell scripts for wholesale changes.

I'm not even convinced at this point all the acronyms and systems they want you to have extensive experience in are even real. Looks like they just be throwing letters together. Must have 15 yrs expertise in ABCD, 5 yrs in EFG administration. **** outta here. If I was fully fully remote I'd be taking some of these to double up but I go on site 2 days a week and behind a SCIF at that so theres no way to me to finangle it so I can be doing both

Bold putting it out there like this.

i’m confused. when she asked him how he’s working multiple contracts he dodged the question and just said “i just keep my mouth shut” which makes it sound like he knows it’s risky.

and if gov clearance is involved that makes things even more complicated i assume.

if i were him i would’ve never agreed to do some youtube video for some clout

I've had periods like that where things I work on are in limbo (need approvals and input from other teams). I just let them know I'm waiting on things and have bandwidth to support. If they don't need support, its YouTube for me.
