saw this on reddit from an AWS employee and I didnt even know amazon had their own AI lol. hes right though.
amazon may have led cloud, but they dropped the ball so hard on AI its crazy. every decade a new technology comes and you gotta be ready to adapt FAST.
luckily for amazon AI is still in its early stages so who knows

Just Cleared the MLA-C01 for AWS. That puts me at 5 of 12 AWS certs. Think I'm going to go for the golden jacket.

Haha. Loving the gifs. I appreciate the support.It was probably the most confident I've felt out of all the AWS certs I have taken so far. I think after a while you start to pick up on the cadence of the questions and how they are structured. I also have had a decent amount of exposure to AWS over the past year (mainly in theory) so that helped a little. I am usually able to rule out 2 answers as being wrong because I know the services and technologies aren't applicable.
Current certs I have for AWS are AI Practitioner, Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, Machine Learning Associate
Comptia : A+, Security +, Network +, Project +, and Cloud +
I think I am going to go for the AWS Machine Learning Specialty next. From what I understand they have a lot of over lap with the MLA-C01

That’s amazing and I’m envious as hell of you. You either know what the hell you’re doing or you’re going for that cloud bag. Regardless which one, I’m proud of you. You’re doing great and I’m sure you’ll knock out that next cert as well.

Thanks a lot. No need to be envious. Just a matter of putting in the time and making it a priority. That said, I know diff people have different situations which can make that more challenging. Nonetheless I still have faith in you.
And yes to the cloud. I am wrapping up my second internship with AWS as an architect and once I graduate school, looking to start with them full time in January 2026.
For which AWS Cert to start with, definitely cloud praciticioner. It'll give you the foundational understanding of the services and how they are all connected. Having a foundational understanding of what cloud is will help as well. Cloud is really just network abstraction. If you understand that it will make the services less difficult to learn. The services are standard cloud technology with AWS branding.
This is a post I made on reddit 3 years ago. When I made the post I had noooooo IT experience. No certs, couldn't tell you what a router was etc. Yet here I am. Anything is possible bro.

I’m currently enrolled in their Cybersecurity and IA program.
Took the ISC2 CCSP yesterday and passed.
I felt confident going in doing questions from the official test questions from learnzap.
Exam starts and I was like aww mane, the okey doke. The format of the questions were different. And I was seeing terms I was unfamiliar with and very ambiguous question wording.
Going to take a slight dip into zero trust, hopefully passing the CSA CCZT. Then I’m finally going to try and knock out the PMP. It’s been on my err bucket list for 20 years. Gonna make it happen before I turn 50.

Life and other priorities always got in the way.
When I was in my mid 20s I had a ravenous drive to pursue certifications, probably a result of where I worked (the Marine Corps Communications School).
I also got into IT after switching majors and careers from mass communications/journalism.
I probably slowed down a lot after my daughter was born. She had congenital heart disease. It was a lot to deal with and my motivation sort of went away.
Now a days, it takes a lot for me to open a book or online training.
But so far this year, I’ve done AZ305, ISC2 CC (for WGU), and CCSP. Last year I did AWS CCP, AWS Solutions Architect Associate and AZ700.
After I graduate, I’ll probably work on renewing my CCNP. Then figure out what’s next.
It’s never too late to learn. We do it everyday we draw breath.

yeah it was pretty impressive. I work in voip side of things so that's the tech they were showing off.
