Back when it was the CASP beta. Let it lapse. Failed the next attempt and passed the attempt after in 2017 or 2018. I just remember a scenario with Linux and there being a drag/drop to show defense in depth, maybe another with firewall rules same drag/drop. Exam is more difficult than Sec+ but less than CISSP.Anybody in here take and pass Security X? Are there practice simulations lab out there that can used to study? I take the certification next week but haven’t really been able to practice any labs.
I think that Linux joint is still on there. We just had a Soldier who took the exam earlier than he should have because there was a possible deployment. He didn’t take the additional week to study. He bombed the test after spending like 45 minutes on the Linux lab. He didn’t even finish the examBack when it was the CASP beta. Let it lapse. It was so long ago. It it was something dumb like restart a service. It’s not like it was an ACL, STIGing Linux or configuring IP tables.I think that Linux joint is still on there. If it’s the one I saw, you have to do something like disable and stop a malicious service. It was so long ago. It it was something dumb like restart a service. It’s not like it was an ACL, STIGing Linux or configuring IP tables.
The exam is like an intermediate security architecture exam.

Congrats!!I took and passed SecurityX today
I wish I would have taken it last year instead of paying to renew Net+ and Sec+![]()

my security + lapsed
studying for cissp so that shouldn't matter right?

I have, what's up?Side note: anyone take courses with WGU?
A couple questions:I have, what's up?
I believe only one cert can cover a class. I completed that program last September. I'll try to find the documentation they have that shows which cert will qualify to skip that class. If you applied 1-2 hours daily, you could honestly knock out at least 5 classes in 6 months.A couple questions:
I understand some certifications can be transferred and converted into college credits. Is it one cert per class or can I use the cert to cover more than class? I saw on their Cybersecurity and IA Masters program that some classes could be covered by Net+ and Sec+, some with SecX and others with CCNA but I wasn't sure if one cert could cover more than one class?
Also, in a 6 month term, how many courses do you think you could realistically finish if you applied maybe 1-2 hours per day? This would be my first attempt at Masters level courses and only have online college experience with AMU. AMU is ridiculously easy and doesn't really much time. It's clear they cater to military members and their schedules.
Side note: anyone take courses with WGU?
Looking at this, I could knock off 6 CUs with Net+, Sec+, and SecX. I have no desire to go for a CySa+, especially since it’s “under” SecX.Posting here in case anyone is curious
This is February 2024, not sure if anything has changed since then:
