Last time I used indeed I swear everything was fake with the exception of the usual defense companies (Leidos, GDIT, CACI, Booz, etc.) Phone used to blow up with spam calls after I’d apply. Seemed like the same was happening going directly to company sites and applying

Government bought us in the office full time, 5x a week. No real reason other than the new director (who works from home in a whole *** different state), says she likes it better. using jobright.ai but i havent really set up my account yet and still getting hits. Probably gonna see what this next contract rebid plus 4-5% raise looks like in September and if I aint with it bounce

That's crazy work she 100% works from home yet doesn't want ya'll working from home. New president is requiring our PM/EM to be onsite twice a week now. Managers hot about it, meanwhile since Covid I was onsite every other day during the first part. Second part I was 100% onsite.

I'm trying to be fair, I feel like over 70 percent of postings on job board sites are fake or outdated. Their needs to be a law against this (Its not that serious their are much bigger things the government needs to worry about. Still foul though)

There was one company that I always use to see when I was in the job market heavy. They were paying like $250K for sysadmin roles, about 10-12 years ago. I always applied and never heard back, I figured it was either a CIA listing where they have a certain person in mind or a fake listing.

Absolutely true. Especially when it pertains to GovTech roles. Companies rather opt for a vet who comes with a clearance rather than having to sponsor a civilian without it.

ATP I've realized that there's rly not a whole point in applying to positions. Recruiters are going to organically reach out to you on LinkedIn. You have to simply position yourself accordingly for certain roles.

As of 2024 I’ll agree on the drug front/scam center. Them along with clearancejobs

Before I got injured I got my last job via them back in 2022, they reached out to me and took less than a week for interview/less than a month to be hired

I wouldn't lie. Get the references and endorsements is a better path. I lied before did the job but they knew already I was faking it. I'm pretty sure they looking for me too.

Officially made the full transition to an IT position this week. No degree, Sec + cert acquired in January, but I had a ton of experience working with networking equipment.

Keep on grinding and positioning yourself for the opportunities, they will come. I hustled my *** off, but the message still stands.

It’s an L1/L2 position with a smaller company but it’s an absolute springboard for that next role.
