you missed the whole point of the movie. its the hole behind the wall where he lives for 3 days so it appears as if nothing in the room was touched.

Yea heard that too.. but dude was digging for a while then says he needs about 2-3 more hours to finish... Don't really see why he would need that much time just for a crapper

Na Inside Man... I mean its really only a small part in the movie and they only show it once... so if you haven't seen it recently you probably don't even remember the part

it for poop, OP you can take my word for it. If you want a logical explanation. One, the hole is too small for anyone to craw to anywhere. Two, it would take literally hours to dig a hole through concrete, metal and dirt. Three, they wanted deep enough so that when he crap the poop doesnt touch his +%+ and you can imagine the amount of crap would pile during the duration of his stay. I also think they wanted the hole deep enough so it provided a better cover up.
