The majority of people wouldn't know who he is. I mentioned Tinker one time and everyone gave me the

While i've known about Tinker for a long time now I still don't see how/why we would need to know who he is/was.  Tinker isn't someone I think I would need to know about in detail.

Tinker is like the the Hiroshi Fujiwara of sneakers.
There isn't anything in the world that he can't get if he wants it. With that said, I don't think he wants to do too much these days. Single-handedly assisted in designing 90s sneakers that continue to get retroed and everyone drools over. 

Thanks for the link, but this has little to do with general, whereas Nike section is where this would be more appreciated.
