if the shoe is prepped correctly and the painter uses a quality paint, most paint jobs hold up fine under normal wear and tear. My personal pairs have held up fine, and I definitely dont baby them.
i cant say about those butterscotch's Bobbito did...i dont know if he prepped the shoe or what kinda paint he used, but i could definitely pull that off...its a basic 1 color job.

I think I will be putting an order in for something like that and perhaps some Khaki Material joints.. as opposed to denim.. freyed ends maybe? Since I wear Khaki shorts with my kicks and not jean shorts..
