I had braces and they didn't work out either. My retainer broke, and my teeth shifted before I could get a replacement. I tried Invisalign, and it was totally worth it. My insurance covered the cost of everything, and unlike braces, they aren't bulky and annoying. The first few weeks were painful, just like with regular braces.

i got em, their good but feels awkward at first but you get used to it.

Been looking into getting braces recently and have had my eyes on invisalign but 2 things are holding me back. First is the cost. Depending on how bad your teeth are they can cost upwards or 9 thousand dollars! They are coming down in price, but all said and done I read somewhere that the average price is 6k (tradition is aroun 2-3k). Second is that they are slower in shifting teeth than traditional braces. My teeth would need around a year to get them to where I want them. With Invisalign they would probably take 18 months.
I'm still seriously debating. I want tradition braces, but I'm in the prime of my life and don't want metal covering my mouth when I'm out with my friends. I have the cash to cover the difference, but with my life changing and nothing in the future being set in stone, it's nice having some spare cash to fall back on. I guess I'll have to visit an orthodontist and find out.

Yeah im covered under my moms insurance and I have my own insurance with my job at UPS so I think I should be good
