iPad 2 is awful, but you know the 3 will have minor improvements.

That's a nice upgrade plus the camera as well.  I will upgrade to the 3 so my wife can take my 2 and use it as she pleases.

I got the ipad 2 and the upgrades of the display aint worth it to me

If that's the case I might pass. I'll have to wait and see as I'm currently happy with my iPad 2.
