I saw them earlier in a blog post about the new iPhone - they just had a 3G casually wearing one of those.

That's at least as bad as Truck balls. I have a case just like that - but without the balls.

I guess it's for a good cause but you would think they could just do a color or something.

It's sort of for a good cause, but I wouldn't say it's a charitable endeavor or anything. They're giving 10% to testicular cancer research, but that fact in itself will improve their sales by more than 10% because it appeals to people's conscience, especially if they know/knew someone with cancer. It's really a profit-intended endeavor that's making a token contribution to helps its image and reception.
