ipod touch help??

first off,  my ipod not under warranty..  i have to get the sound jack fixed the place in the mall wants $65 and warranty is 30 days if you dont break it again.  is it better to get fix through

apple??  i was going to buy new ipod but store was out of stock..  The guy mentioned its the cheap headphones that causes this??

cop a used one on ebay & get a squaretrade warranty

Unless the headphones broke off inside the jack, that's not the case.  I have used ipod headphone knockoffs for the past 3 years and they haven't affected my ipod at all dispite going through 4 sets.

If you're still happy with the ipod, just get it fixed instead of paying 4x the price for a new one.
