To all the people saying battery life sucks:
(Assuming its jailbroken) you have to hold down the home button for like 5 seconds every time you close Cydia, installer, icy, installous etc etc or else itkeeps running in the background. Since all of those apps need wi-fi it drains the battery really quick. That helped mine.

trippin hard son. i download applications that are 50mb+ in less than 30 seconds

I am not cosigning with the OP in any way, but I do believe that the touchscreen thing is a little overrated. I like "old-school" buttons instead.
I like the touch, but wouldn't shell out $300 on one.

I have absolutely no problem with the internet on mine. Must be something you're doing wrong. (Either that or you need to step up your reading skills.
The only real issue I have with it is that the battery sucks for gaming. For surfing the web, I find that I get really great battery life. And I'm notcomplaining too much unless you can name another PMP that does as much as the iPod Touch does as well or better along with a better battery life.

They usually upgrade the iPods annually and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 64GB version in a few months.
