ipod touch screen repair: anyone done it?

i got this free ipod touch it seems to have just been repaired but the screen is cracked across the bottom, i want to fix it myself but want to see if anyone here has done it and if they have found it difficult...the youtube videos seem easy but the reviews on all the screens and tools say its pretty difficult

ive had my iphone 3g screen fixed for as low as 30 bucks...
if you search on craigslist and call around you'll find a price you like

craigslist in my area sucks
i found a place that charges 40$ but all the others charge 70 

...they do charge 30$ for the 3gs/3g tho 

im not sure which model my itouch is im guess second gen cause its 8gb but it was a mc model not sure if that matters

if they charge 30 for 3g/3gs they should charge 30 for your touch ived open my iphone up before 
to fix the power button/headphone jack its moderately easy because you have to be extra careful 

not to break any of the connecting cables if your good with electronics you could possibly do it yourself
