Is dropping Cable/ Satellite a serious option for you?

Comcast provides my cable and Internet and unfortunately because of where I live I don't have many other options. In order to keep my bill low I have to complain and request a promo price every 6 months or so. I hate it but I can't live without NFL Network and fast internet

Just get the internet......
at its worse its 50 bucks.....

Im pretty sure you can get fios in philly. Im assuming you live in philly.

Verizon offers month to month billing with no contract or termination fee. Might not have as many bells and whistles as a contract package though.

I would, but I'ma miss my Discovery, Food Network and History Chanel... They got that on Hulu? I know I'll probably be without cable TV when I move out with my girl. FTA is also an option.

I hope you got phone, internet, tv + porn channels for that price.

What company was charging you 150$/month?

Straight up
Digital preferred is 85 bucks at comcast in Chicago.
NO HD, either.
New customers are always preferred, and when you dont switch services after each promo period you end up with a 200 cable bill that has no HD or Land line service.
Hints why I am personally now exploring and strongly considering switching to this idea

Comcast is evil. Theres no other companies that offer tv? Like at&t?

I feel bad for the midwest folks.

Those are my most watched channels too.  I guess I can just rent the series on netflix though.

I'll be canceling the cable so because there are simply too many free/cheap alternatives now.

Hulu is tv show based. so you pick a show and watch it. I watched the last 2 episodes of Pawn Stars a couple days ago on there.

When I was heavyily behind in school and work, I had to cut off my cable (Time Warner) ...My T.V. collected dust, I only watch NY1 while taking a shower and getting ready
then "The Game" when I came home on Fridays 8:30.

Mostly anything can be watched online ...probably day after if not same day.

I actually felt like I had more freedom when I unplugged from cable and too much internet, I survived two semester solely on a wifi-tether

budget.
It felt good. I was in the best shape of my life and a all around better person sociably.

I think I'm going back to that in January

Im pretty sure you can get fios in philly. Im assuming you live in philly.

I live in Maryland and Verizon is LITERALLY available across the street from where I live, my condo neighborhood can only get Comcast
