Is Kingdom Come weak or underrated?

It sucks
He picked the worst Dre beats... I kno Dre aint fell off but those beats sound like it

The next jay z album shud be completely produced by timbo

Very weak, it had about 3 or 4 joints that were decent. And you can pretty much tell if it's weak or not by asking if anyone actually still replays any ofthe songs on there now....... most likely no.

to me this is one of the strangest albums.
cause the bad songs are abosolutely trash. i.e. hollywood and the joint pharell did.
but it had some of the most amazing songs ive ever heard...i.e. beach chair... the katrina joint...lost ones.
imo...the lows were lower than any song on AG but the highs were also better than any song on AG.

AG is just kind of bland and mediocre to me. Kingdome come had some crazy shhhh on there. im drunk.

from a huge Jay-Z fan...

WEAK...

Prelude was the only good song on the WHOLE ALBUM

i think it was an amazing idea of an album. i mean it had dre production on it - a real hip hop head would appreciate it. its not the usual jay-z i know - itslike the successful i dont sell drugs no more and made million legit album. listen to the prelude - i mean listen to it from top to bottom and tell me who canflow like that past or present? and beach chair? my god - COLLEEK ARE YOU PRAYING ME FOR ME?

^ I hear what you're saying. Beach Chair is

Me too

bleh, it's probably about the same level as hard knock and life and times, clearly lazy jay work, though his talent elevates even his second-rate stuffover the vast majority of everyone else, it's WEAK by hov standards. in fact, I might even call it his worst solo album (which really says something aboutwhat a consistently great rapper he is, I mean, it's still a decent album)

and beach chair, ugh, can't listen to it... sound is forced, washed out production, chorus makes me cringe

now american gangster... here's our blueprint boy back

Kingdom Come was underrated. People just have a hard time realizing that a successful 36? year-old can't always talk about slangin pies.

Only weak song to me was "Anything." BUT, I am imaging it was probably hard for Hov to turn that one down when Guru tells him he has a track Producedby the Neptunes with Usher on the hook. Can you tell me any rapper that would be able to turn that down?

underrated i like it, its a good album to light a blunt too and just zone out

I know you dont believe everyone who thinks this album is weak thinks that and I dont know what perspective you're looking at it from but its very easyto turn a track with Usher on the hook down, very easy. If its sales and gettin spins on the radio then yea sure but that song didnt even get released as asingle and there wasnt even a video for it.

its definitely underrated....it was just cuz jay changed his style up a bit n people didnt kno wat to expect or how to react to it

I think kingdom come is in his upper half of CDs personally.

Agreed.

I think lyrically he murdered KC. AG not so much.
Lost Ones, Prelude, Minority Report, Oh My God, Trouble, 30 Something, Monday Night Theme, Joint Looking Like The Batmobile, psssssssssh. Maybe the older youare, the more you appreciate it.

In every KC thread, I've always said that only on NT have I ever seen hate for this album. Yet all the people that I personally know, LOVED this joint.Something ain't adding up.

Maybe it's cuz me and most of my peeps are from Brooklyn. It's a local thing.

Same way ninja thinks Joe can do no wrong I guess.
