no, we don't have to wear the "old time" clothes...that was the group of people that believed idea of living...they gave the mormonchurch a bad name.

i have a serious question.
i find other religions really interesting.
so... what makes your religion different from, say, the average christian?
and do you live in a compound?

(not all details are there just a shortened version)
when the church was restored in the 1820's Joseph Smith, a young boy at the time pondered religion and prayed and prayed about until he had a vision ofwhere to find a set of golden scriptures (now called the book of mormon, only because a man named mormon translated the golden scriptures, we don't worshipa man named mormon, i challenge you to read some of the intro of the book.) then a group of members broke off the original group and said the polygamy isalright (which is a sin) and they called themselves mormons and they lived in compounds so that no one can interfere with the polygamy, now there group isbroken up. Mormons are christians because the def. of christian is a someone who believes in christ's ways and we do. does it kinda clear it up?

Not trying to dig up any graves, but i got you mrgrapes, i'm LDS too. we must be a rare breed
