Not from the perspective of a tourist, but as someone whom is living in that city for years

Does your city get that boring vibe

As a young professional, no family, no kids yet... What are you up to in your free time

In Vancouver, if you're not into outdoor recreational activities. Then you're gonna feel like there's not much to do.
Have also heard the argument that while you don't mind hiking and canoeing. You don't want to do that every weekend.

People wise. It's very clique based. Majority of people stick with the same group of friends from high school and college. You meet people through work but they are only work acquaintances. The relationship isn't as deep.

Incontrovertibly, yes.

Phoenix is a desert and behaves like one.

growing up I always heard people say yes, throughout the years growing up I never thought it was boring, depends on the people you know I guess. you can have fun doing whatever. I live in a beach city so you have to be aquatic. surfing, fishing, no good bars or clubs or lounges, beach bonfires are better though.

plus I got malibu next door, biking and hiking there is

I lived in KS all my life until 2.5 years ago after I moved to AZ. Def a huge change and for the better. I wasn't really an outdoors person until I moved here, I now love it. Hiking, fishing, 4 wheeling, riding a Polaris, going to the lake, going on first ever camping trip labor day weekend. But then that's not even the end of it. Im a big music head so, I like to go see shows. Got to see one of my fav artists a few weeks ago that I would've never been able to see in KS. Then Vegas and LA is about 4-5 hours away if you wanted to travel. AZ is such farcry from KS. That place is BORING...

I feel as if you live in a decent size city you should never complain.

People usually dont take in their own town like they would if they were visiting.

I'm a contractor and ended up in Mojave. It's a city in California in the ******* desert, I work at the airport. I live in a near bye desolate area called California city. It sucks, it's lattitude and longitude are on Pain & despair. Every day I try and lay there till work, work a 12hr day and go to sleep. It's like 106 everyday.

But on weekends I can hit LA and I fly to Seattle once a month or so. Vegas is 3hr drive.

Out here in Pittsburgh. The city so segragated it doesn't make sense. Houston is my home though, so hanging out here is a culture shock right now.

Everyone claims oh DC (and metro area) is so small there's nothing to do its so boring. I be like shuuuut up.

I've been in this area for three weeks and I can already tell there's so much to do.

Can't wait to explore.

Seems like it does have some perks if you don't mind the drive. I also imagine the rent is cheap?
