They are writers for the show yes, but like all tv shows they have a giant team of writers. And even if it was just them, they still wouldn’t dare cross the picket line. Any member of the WGA (the entirety of Hollywood) is expected to show support. And that’s because they are striking the company’s that pay for their work/time. The Sunny cast does not own FXX or Hulu.

I could go much deeper into the subject, but I’m not that interesting. This dude called the strike months before it happened and has been educating people on the inside industry knowledge of what it’s like to be a professional writer in Hollywood. Check him out, he’s been dropping writers strike gems for a minute.
