It's been a while since a NYC-born player made a BIG splash in the NBA.....

The thing is, NYC ballers just arent that good.



We're not the tallest bunch either. Even my high school varsity team, average at best, and they went to the PSAL championship game. That already shows how bad kids here are.

It was very different in the past decades (especially in the 80s & 90s) compared to the recent decade.
 
Too many people in the ears of these kids giving them crummy advice and for the most part, they're all pretty overrated especially by the people around them. Some folk are always looking for a meal ticket.

As much as people hate on Marbury he's the only one who's lived up to the point guard hype. He was an all star and played for team USA.
