ITUNES help please. "PREVIOUS LIBRARIES"

So my ipod battery ran out on my way to work. I brought it into work to charge it. So I connect the ipod and it says new hardware found. It my first time connecting my ipod to my computer here 
at work. After it does its thing, a new window pops up saying "I need to choose a library". I accidently clicked on one that read 2010/10/06. Now my itunes reads "PREVIOUS LIBRARIES" and 

none of my recent downloads are on my itunes. CAN SOME ONE HELP ME FIX IT.. Not only do I have music in itunes, I have files from my job. Please help. How can I get my itunes I had yesterday???

Any help? I called apple and they want to charge me $29 to help me fix it.
