Does Itunes only backup the contacts, sms, and settings? Does it backup your songs?

I just went through this last week, I did a warranty exchange and prayed over my itunes backup(s...all 6 of them lol)
the ONLY thing that didn't transfer was my songs, they had to be re-synced(and my e-mail had to be re-configured)
everything else was exactly how my old phone was.
I was happy for that. The music thing sucked, but it wasn't that big of a deal IMO

you have to re-sync any music, applications, or movies.

all my apps were just fine, just as I left them, and apps that had data in them were left untouched as well.
