Itunes Problem

I know yall hate to read, so here are the cliffs....

- I cleared my computer hard drive
- My music is stored on an external hard drive
- I put my music back in my itunes
- I cant change any of my song info
- I could make an AAC version of each song to fix it, but I have 37,00 songs
- Does anybody know how to fix this?
