Looking @ this $400 watch @ j crew.... anyone who works there can i get the discount? What is the discount? Is it worth working there?

I've actually been working there for 2 years...
You get 5 alotment items per month - 50% full priced items. Only items that you can wear to work

All sale/clearance items - 50% off

30% off all full priced items and current promotions.

There is a 60's list(hence the 60 = 60% off).  Basically a list that list items from a minimum of 60% off up to 80% off.  This list is important as it list eligible partnership/collaboration items, as any collaboration/partnership items are not eligible for discount.  So your $400 watch might not even be eligible for discount if its not on the list.

you cant get the watch on discount at JCrew. your best bet is for someone to get the giftcard for the total amount for the watch and get 30% off the giftcard. go to JCrew.com via Ebates and you get 2% back which will be like about $8 dollars which is something. And also if you buy something under $175 buy something from Crewcuts to get free shipping and just return that item to the store.

Side note you should never pay retail at JCrew because you get 15% off any JCrew item (excluded on partnership items like New Balance, Thomas Mason, Barbour, Baracuta, Converse, Adidas, and Red Wings etc) if you show a college ID or teacher's ID
