The day after the Jacksonville Jaguars signed arguably their best receiver sinceJimmy Smith, Jimmy Smith apparently celebrated the news a bit too much.

According to TMZ, Smith was busted in Jacksonville for possession of narcotics.

Smith was suspended by the league in 2003 for violation of the substance abuse policy. Some league observers wondered when Smith retired whether hisdecision was the product of a possible one-year suspension for further violation of the policy.

That said, we have no specific reason to believe that Smith had actually or allegedly violated the substance abuse policy in the weeks or months prior tohis retirement

Regardless of his problems off the field, I'll always respect the dude as a football player. One of the best receivers I've ever seen play...
