im not saying they arent called racist, but that when it applies to white people it is also because of an understood lack of intelligence on their part
people called the jamaican man racist in this thread
ppl are tryin to act as if **** is equal
a black person and his reasons for not liking white people aren't the same as reasons why white people choose to not like black people

I completely understand where you are coming from. Since our two races first encountered each other whites have treated us with nothing but hostility. West Africans were enslaved and all but 1 out of over 50 countries in Africa were colonized. These Africans had their resources taken and were forced to work their own land to pay taxes to whites. All of this was done on the basis of us being inferior to them. I'm not saying black racism is right but for whites to pretend that black racism is the same as white racism is absurd. When a black person is racist 9/10 it is rooted in the mistreatment of blacks at the hands of white people. Its like a bully and the kid he beats up. Both hate each other but you can't pretend its for the same reason. It is also why I believe that whites have a hard time understanding why black racists don't see themselves as bigots. Its hard to feel like a bigot when your only reason for not liking a group of people was how they treated you in the past and even now. To use the same analogy its like telling the kid that gets beaten up that his hatred makes him just as bad as the bully.

That's actually a positive connotation
white people racist = ignorant racist, don't realize the truth regarding race relations and are racist on false premises
black people racist = racist, actually understand the truth regarding race relations and are racist in response to it
another way to put it:
most white racists are racist from a lack of interaction with blacks
most black racists are racist from an abundance of negative interactions with whites

understood: white society agrees to equate racists with lower intelligence on a micro, individual/group basis, while actively sustaining racism on a macro, population basis. when a matter of public discourse, racism is to be admonished. but in practice, behind closed doors, or thru policy, racism is actively promoted.

i dont believe a majority of racist white people are of low intelligence. thats a way they make you think that racism is not as harmful as it is, that the people that believe it are not in any capacity to effect any real damage. i believe the majority of racist whites are of very high intelligence and know how/when to masquerade/navigate being racist.
it is also based on the idea that in order to be a racist, there must be some outward showing of it.
conscious thought or unconscious, forethought or not, it is the same thing. instinct or conditioning, the fact is racism is so pervasive for just that very level that it affects people on both levels simultaneously.

Only a minority of any race has "very high intelligence"...
so by saying the majority of racist whites are of very high intelligence, you are insinuating that the majority of ALL white people are not racist.....
If the majority of all white people were racist, then you would have a larger demographic that is racist and not of high intelligence...
unless you think most white people have very high intelligence...
or most ignorant white people are not racist....
EDIT: I believe lower intelligence, lower socioeconomic status, and lower education are pretty good indicators of the prevalence of racism.
