Jay-Z. Blueprint 3. Roc Nation x Atlantic Records. Sept 11th.

As much as I love both parts to U Don't Know...I only want it on there if Just Blaze is producing it. Wouldn't be right other wise

Cmon man we all know Hov got a few surprises up his sleeve with this one

ya'll know what it is...

Rip the FREEWAY, shoot through MEMPHIS with money bags
Stop in Philly, order cheese steaks and eat BEANS fast
And bring it back up top, remove the fake king of New York
You show off, I count off when you sample my voice
I rule you, before, you used to rap like the FU-SHNICKENS
NAS designed your BLUEPRINT, who you kidding?
Is he H TO THE IZZO, M TO THE IZZO?
For shizzle you phony, the rapping version of SISQO
And that's for certain, you clone me, your wack clothes line
I'd rather Sean John, bore me with your fake coke rhymes
And those times, they never took place, you liar
Un was your first court case, you had no priors
You master fabricated stories of streets and sound slick
Have you surrounded, you and the !#@%%# you down with
While they riding NAS, trying to boost their careers
Corny as CORMEGA, all you Hip-Hop queers...

His best albums come when there is no hype (RD, BP, AG).

When there's hype, they're far from classic (BP2, TBA, KC, etc)

BP3 is entering that realm of hype...so I dunno....

The Black Album's a classic now?

Come on son...

For what it is, it's a dope album but I'm still pissed about being lied to. Nothing about that album was black, it could've been legendary but itwas just another Jay-Z album.

No way Jay's doing more #'s than Em. Lackluster album or not...

I personally consider it a classic.

But classic or not, it's without a doubt one of his better albums.

"Allure" is a masterpiece but uh....don't see where everyone is getting this classic status from.

I'm one of those weird cats who feels everything after Vol.1 was dope but eh....

Like Blueprint is clearly a better album all around but on Vol.1 we had that hungry Jay which just makes me like that album more.

Black Album had 14 total songs...and the only ones that get skipped by me are Changes Clothes & Justify My Thug...everything else is certified heat. I hatearguing music so I'll just it's a personal classic for me.

What More Can I Say
Allure
Lucifer
Encore
PSA
Threat
99 Problems
Dirt Off Your Shoulders
December 4th

Those are all just dope to me and I can listen to all of those without getting bored.

This has the makings of an epic album.

-Hov free from Def Jam's "marketing"
-Hov working @ his own pace. If you've seen "Fade To Black", you know what i'm talking about
-Kevin Liles x Lyor Cohen X S. Carter
-Ye/Blaze on boards
-Momentum building up and nary a peep from Hov besides this new album deal

I can respect that.

You don't know sales huh? His last album struggled to go Platinum, Kingdom Come only sold like 700-800 for his first week and that was his biggest buzzhe's ever had. This new album will do 450K TOPS, he's not selling any higher

Yea I see the connection but as a fan of Hov what does it do for me? I mean I see a lot of dudes excited in this thread but is the music going to be anybetter? Let's be honest here. Hov released a lot of lackluster songs in the build up to Blueprint 3 to the point where some people don't even care anymore. I'm almost in that boat myself. So is the label change going to make the music better? Kanye's still producing right?

That's the funny thing about "hype". When cats go into a album "overhyped" they're always let down because their expectations weretoo high. Kingdom Come was a 4/5 album. Blueprint 2 was a 3.5 due to the filler. You take the 15 best songs from Blueprint 2 and you have a classic album or atworst a 4.5/5 album. I always considered Black Album the only Hov album that was almost a classic but just fell a little short. Its superior to Vol. 1 but notquiteas good as Blueprint. Nonetheless still a solid album and with time may get to classic status. But I find it odd that you feel American Gangster is one ofhis best albums and The Black Album isn't.

I have the Black Album 3rd in Jays discography. Whether considered classic or not (I think it is personally), its one of his better albums.

As for some of the tracks on BP3, that SLU2 could have potential to be
