I seen this yesterday and wasn't sure how to react to it lol. I mean what dude is sayin' makes sense. I'm a Danja fan and his discography isnothin' to sneeze at but seriously how did he get a cover page ahead of Usher who happens to be the biggest artist in the industry right now? I don'tknow I mean i'm not as concerned about it as JD is though. I wonder is this him still bein' upset at Timbo? Or is it that he benefits off of a Usheralbum sellin' 5 million records? Now that I think about it I can understand why he mad. He cakes off them Usher albums. I don't think Billboardwould've ever put Justin Timberlake behind Danja.....

Usher is going to be #1 on Billboard when his album drops and I don't think anyone is coppin his album because its produced by Danja...they're payingmoney to hear Usher. Danja shouldve gotten the inside cover.

I definitely feel what J.D. is saying. This is marketing. Usher's album is due to come out in a matter of weeks. The Billboard cover is an addition to his"buzz" just like getting radio play, having his video play on MTV, and autograph signings. It is promotion to push more units. Danja is not puttingout an album, is he? There is no reason to have him on the cover of Billboard magazine IN FRONT of Usher's cover. It makes no sense. It's almost like aslap in the face by Billboard.... or maybe they were thinking that Usher has enough shine that he doesn't need the front cover.... I dunno. But whatJermaine is saying definitely makes a whole lot of sense.

Danja, as in Timbaland's protege? That guy is and has been on fire, if you ask me he definitely deserves a magazine cover. But then again, I do see whereDupri is coming from, Usher is what's big right now so that extra bit of marketing should always be taken. But in all honesty do you think Usher NEEDS amagazine cover? Coming from an artist whose previous album "Confessions" went diamond, I highly doubt he needs any marketing, his name alone sellsalbums. So giving the cover to Danja is certainly not a bad move and won't hurt Usher in any way. Plus I think Danja needs a little exposure, people needto recognize the man behind the beats and Timbaland's contributor, if you will.

JD has every right to be upset. Well im seeing it for a producers standpoint. The producer receives a front end of funds but receives a back end on album saleswhich means the more a artist sales is good for the producer. Usher has been out of the light for a while before he geared up for his new album therefore hemay in fact need the promo. Yall must don't understand that the musical climate from when confessions came out and now. Usher needs the promo every artistdoes. Right now in the game producers are eating way better than artist and that's fine but last time i checked billboard is a magazine geared towardssongs not promotion so why would a producer getting the main cover before an artist. that's like stan lee getting the cover of a spiderman comic and notspidey. I am a producer so i know that a producers position is a very important role of a songs process, but does that make he or she more important than aartist (even if the producer is on fire right now). I look at what billboard did as a subliminal that the beat is most important. That is whats wrong withmusic and why we have such cookie cutter music cause the order of a hit is now beat,hook,lyrics.

not dissin danja at all... he's lookin at it from a promotional stand point... i mean he is a label exec... and he did used to manage usher... danja onlyneeds promotion to artists as he doesnt have a cd out... usher needs his promotion to the public... cuz he sells records not beats...

No he not dog not right now maybe this would have been exceptable when the Britney Spears thing came out. But Danja aint dominating nothing rightnow...Unless he really produced that new Madonna song.

Danja is a hot producer but he doesn't have THAT much radio hits. Truthfully, most of your favorite hits from him are probably album cuts. JD puts out hitswhether YOU like em or not with Usher which ultimately, pertains to Billboard magazine more than Danja's album hits do.
