So I'm taking a plane in a few days and I always book Jetblue. I prefer Jetblue because of the Direct TV and the leg room.

However.

For the past few years everytime I check in my bags they put a red X on my ticket and I have to go through extended security. Now Jetblue is the only airlinesthat has done this to me. CONSISTENTLY at that.

I'm an American citizen I was born in this country. I've lived here all my life. Yes I'm Pakistani but I have rights. I don't even lookPakistani, the only telltale "Pakistani" feature about me is my name. How is it that Jetblue is the only airlines that consistently puts me throughthose extended security checks. It's not that much of an inconvenience but....

It's the principle of it all. It gets me heated as @#(# that I'm always singled out for all these years. Like I'm sort a danger or liability ofsome sort.

So is it profiling?

Yes, it is.. all I can say is get used to it.. </no offense intended.>

I have no intention of "getting used to it". If I can report Jetblue for this practice I will.

Change your name

Are you muslim? I'm from Bosnia, so I'm a white muslim. So I guess I am in the same sitaution. I don't "look" muslim, but Iam...so I don't get any special treatment. My grandads name is Muhammad so they kinda get at him

I don't know how I can prove it. However I've been on Jetblue at least 2-4 times a year for the past 5 years. Every single time they've put methrough extra security.

I'm Pakistani also, I actually just came back from a trip to Pakistan a few days ago and all I can say is, get used to it. They can pretty much do whateverthey want after 9/11.

I think i'm on some list too, everytime i check bags on a local flight they somehow get "lost" and i have to wait for them to deliver it the nextday. I dont check in anymore.

Yes I am Muslim.

I think it all has to do with ones name. If you have one of "those" names they're going to #(#* with you. My pops is a doctor, has been a citizenfor 35 years, owns two practices and is a philanthropist yet because his name is Mohammad he has to go through extra security. If he wants to Western Union hissister some money in New Jersey guess what?

He can't, because of his name. I already told my pops that he should hire himself a good lawyer and get at these dudes.

Do you travel alone? Jetblue gives every male traveling by himself, with no checked baggage, an extra security check because that's the profile ofterrorists whatever race or religion they may be.

Most of the time I travel alone however I always check in at least two bags.

try driving a 45k car in Denver with no tint...pulled over 4x.

got tint and now I have no issues and I drive no different. Racial profiling is no new news to me bro.

thanks to bush and his tsa buddy, they can do this all they want.

Are you the only one put through it, or do they put people of all races through it (whites, blacks, mexicans, etc)?

I understand what your saying.. but look at it this way.. I am African American, and have been African American for 19 years, and had to deal withracial profiling everyday in my life, seriously..

After 9/11 is when theMuslims started getting profiled.. so we are all even.. but it is almost impossible to prove the racial profiling.. Because all JetBlue would say, is that theydid random searches..
