Jewelry Question

I plan to propose to my girlfriend of 8 years soon and want to give her my moms old ring. I need to know if anyone knows a reputable place that will clean the ring and appraise it so that it can be insured? Also if the place is in PG county that would a plus.

I know of no places in PG county, which I know isn't helpful. But there is a place in Herndon, at the Clock Tower, called Aspen Jewelers, check them out, they do great work have been using them for years.

^thanks for the reply. I'll check them out. I would prefer if it were closing but Im willing to travel anywhere in the DMV to find some trustworthy people so I will check them out
