Jobless and Frustrated NTers check in VOL. WE NOT-WORKIN!!!

Coca Cola text me to set up an interview, called the HR number they sent talked to the HR person and the job is paying less than what I'm making now. But I told her I applied for a fountain installer position and she said she was going to figure out the manager's schedule since they're starting interviews for that on Monday. Said to give her a call by lunch time on Monday if I haven't heard back. She also was viewing my resume and telling me that I have a wealth of experience, so I'm feeling confident. The facility is in walking distance to my apt so it would be so clutch if I landed this and was able to save on gas, Atlanta traffic, and mileage. Have a homie that works there and he said he would put the good word in for me so I'm guessing he must have.

Not gonna get my hopes up but I feel good about it.
I heard the hiring process can take up to three months.

I currently work for a 3rd Party Logistics company and our current site contract ends April 1st. I can possibly get transferred to another site but I would have to take a lesser position and give up my 25% annual salary bonus. Kinda sucks but I will at least have a job. Gonna look outside company as well

Got an interview next thursday, i do exceed on the situational/technical questions, however, i fumble on the "tell me about a time/experience" questions. Any tips?

Use the STAR approach. Set up the SITUATION you had to deal with it, the TASK at hand, what ACTION you took to solve the issue and the RESULT. Clear concise examples.

ayy, some college here but thats about it. Any quick skill I can learn that'll make me atleast 15 an hour?

Going to give this job hunting thing one more try so I can find some source of steady income. Kind of been discouraged a little bit no lie.

Hey guys,

Please PM me if you're interested in this opportunity. I don't check NT daily, but I get alerts when I get a PM. Or you can email me at: wisith.j@gmail.com directly if you want. This is open to anyone in the CON USA.

A close friend of mine just launched a new business that makes all natural supplement to make regular people feel better, as well as help those with depression and anxiety issues. The company has been launched for 6-7 weeks and only has minor presence in Southern CA and Utah. Huge advantage to the rest of the country. He spent millions on R&D already. Headquarters is in Irvine, CA and products are made and distributed in the USA.

Just a background on the story: My friend is as successful in life as you can get. First generation Asian American who dropped out of college, got a low paying job and learned the ropes of the industry, and started his own company. He then sold it for $225M. He was a rock star to outsiders. He suffered a lot from depression and alcohol and drug abused in the process. He cleaned up since and is using that pain to start the company.

He started Amare Global to tackle mental wellness issues. I think a lot of us are have anxiety or unhappy in some form due to our lifestyles. I'm using the products myself as I can relate. I struggled with low self esteem and depression as a kid and teenager.

It's a direct marketing concept. So a typical question is: Is it a pyramid scheme? I asked him myself. He laughed and explained it to me. He said he makes quality products. Their scientists were handpicked and everything made in the USA. Instead of spending millions on advertising, the money is given to partners to spread the word of the company.

This industry gets a bad rep because not too many people make it. But the economy, as a whole, is a pyramid, only the top gets the nice homes, cars, etc. I know a handful of multi millionaires and none of them hold a college degree. They just worked extremely hard and overcame hardship.

This is not a get rich scheme by any means. It's going to take a lot of hard work. You have to build your castle brick by brick. I understand that it's not for everybody. But there's going to be a good numbers who become incredibly wealthy from it.

Anywho, email me if anyone is interested in learning more. I posted this here because anyone can start this on a part time basis, I am myself. And it cost little to get started. Just a lot of hard work and humility.

To anyone and everyone else there, despite of what you do, there is no substitution for hard work. I didn't get the memo until now (over $100k spent on multiple degrees later  )

Work hard, remain optimistic, and you'll be fine, fellas.

Waiting to start at my new job next week .. waiting for work to start is pretty frustrating..

Well I was "invited" for an interview for a seasonal position only to get cancelled somewhat last minute. Also was invited for an interview to a location I didn't specifically apply for.

Haven't reached that point yet, but 2017 again has been a weird year.

That's bomb but my social media presence is non existent.

Lost my job today and I legit feel relieved. I'm not distraught bc I can call back on uber eats until something else comes through. I drove for ab 6 hours today and made more than I would've made working 8 hours at my previous job. This service is legit a godsend. One of the customers was a no show so I even have a free meal tonight.

I had a test with a Google position today and I feel pretty good about it.

Honestly, I prefer not being couped up in a building/office all day, isolated from the outside world. I'm ready to get back in the workforce, but I will definitely enjoy this freedom.

Anyone ever use a resume review service? One of my boys who uses my resume format is doing it and apparently they ripped my format to shreds. I even submitted mine for a review cause I'm curious as to what they're going to say.

What job did you lose?

I was a setup specialist on the apple campus. When someone buys certain products from the apple store or Apple.com, they have the option to have a session with us. We basically learn a little about them and show them features about their new device. They want us to be very excited and animated, but that's just not me. I'm very laid back. I worked to add that excitement in my voice, they said I got a lot better but it just wasn't what they were looking for. I'm not tripping bc I didn't like the job anyway.

I've been ubering these last few days. Money is decent but lawd it will wear you out.

Had a placement test with a position at Google in Friday. I think I killed it so I'm looking to hear back from them.

I have the same personality. Being super animated for 40+ hours a week would be exhausting for me

You ain't lying about Uber. I did it for about 3 months when I got laid off last year. My car and body both took a beating.

Exaaaactly, it's emotionally draining to put on a show like that when it's not your personality. I honestly felt like my calls were good but whatever.
