Johnny Manziel = Ryan Leaf 2.0

He's not Tebow...he can actually throw the rock a lil bit. Unless he has a huge season and they win the championship this year though I don't think he'll go top 5. People question his size and playing style too much. I think he'll be really good at the pro level though...just my opinion.

Negative, Leaf was a legit NFL prospect, Manziel isn't.

****** QB's don't make it in the NFL, don't matter how well they can dance in CFB.

Johnny isn't going to be the #2 pick in the draft and expected to start and carry a franchise from Day 1...

So... How about no?

OP and ESPN need to get off his meat and allow him to be a college student-athlete. All this micromanaging his life and his NFL potential when he's played 1 season, the Information Age takes another L

And you and the rest of the people who support his actions need to stop enabling him before he ruin his career. Yea he's a 20 yr old college student having fun but he's in a position where he can influence kids and needs to act like a leader. There's kids that idolize him, when they see him posting pics of him partying and drinking underage what message does that send?

Dudes just hating on the kid cause he's living it up.

Sure he's probably not going to be a all pro someday, but his talent is enough to where he'll be a starter. His accuracy/touch is amazing ontop of his natural born athleticiscm

lot of things working against manziel as a pro prospect: sub 6', arm not live, joeckel and matthews gave him unlimited space to work, but there's reason for optimism: plus quickness, eyes downfield even in the scramble, and i can't forget how he put those fluttery balls in the places they needed to be to beat bama

brees and wilson proved that efficient movement in the pocket and good reads+arm in general can offset suboptimal height, but manziel's not either of these guys

What pictures of him partying are there? The one from New Year's where his parents were at a club with him and gave him alcohol?

There are other quarterbacks all over this country doing what Johnny is doing. The only difference is they didn't just win the Heisman and are now held to some arbitrary higher standard.

Doug Flutie? Well you said Ryan Leaf so...

He won't have the draft hype to be Leaf 2.0. He's 6'2". Not your typical every year #1 selection.

the only thing that sets him apart from other college quarterbacks is the amount of attention he gets. it's not like he's the first college QB to party
