Correct! Careful cleaning them as the red will bleed into the white panels and toebox. So it sounds like the paint on the red leather is bleeding fairly easily, is that right?
Is that worse when it’s wet?
I don’t know about regular leather, but the Champs waterproof spray I used to use absolutely affected the color of the suede and nubuck shoes I used it on.
You convinced not to pay resell for these.Correct! Careful cleaning them as the red will bleed into the white panels and toebox.
My experience with suede shoes is that water stains never disappear completely. The red leather is weird too. If you get it wet it will stay as a dark spot until it completely dries.
Pretty much the same way suede-nubuck does.
I guess it depends on the type of suede-nubuck-Durabuck. I know what you mean.My experience with suede shoes is that water stains never disappear completely.

Made the colors lighter.
…haven’t used it since.
Curious if the red will bleed onto the white laces over time even without water. Like if you unlace them, will the bottoms that have been resting on the red have a red stain? Imagine we won’t know for a while.
Hello everyone I live in France do you know if this possible drop takes place in Europe?
I would love to see what the toe box will look on these a year from now.that toebox rub-off from the lace panel happens on 1’s I wear a lot. With these red bleeding easier than other 1’s, that toebox is going to happen more frequently than normal. The issue isn’t the replacement $5 laces, the issue is if the bleeding is constant and you start getting discoloration on the red leather or even the white leather. Red leather might start looking like the red soles lol
With that said, these were purposely given the “vintage” treatment so the discoloration wouldn’t bother me as much.
That's exactly how I felt. These joints already came looking older and crustier than my 94s, more of an excuse to beat them right out the box. With that said, these were purposely given the “vintage” treatment so the discoloration wouldn’t bother me as much.
