If you watched the game you would know it was a brutal outright chuckfest. Secondly that game took place before the new zone defense rules so it wasn't as THIS ERA as you want to make it seem. Thirdly the game MJ played was no different than how he played before his retirement ..... the big difference is after such a performance, his performance for the next week was outright horrendous (and that's where his bad knees comes into play)

While it's nice to look down on THIS ERA of basketball players without owning up to the fact that this is directly the fault of MJ's legacy ... It's the reason why you have player's like KD who are 6-10 playing a perimeter game ....... why an entire era of big men started playing face up basketball instead of backdown ...... so if MJ played in this era then basketball would be no different that the era he played in except that every wingman would be just as athletic as him and big men like Hakeem, Patrick, Malone and Barkley would have dominated the 90s like decades past

It's the ONLY way to go north of 85 or so. You may be able to score 50 or even 60 rather consistently with Jordan's game (which is what has you guys misconstrued)... but you'd NEVER go north of 85 without a burner from deep (as a wing player). That's why Kobe has lower lows than Mike but will end his career with slightly more ridiculous feats of bucket-getting (81, 62 in 3 quarters, 40 point streak, 12 threes in a game, etc). Kobe is and outside-in midrange assassin. Mike was an inside-out midrange assasine. They both did most of their work around 16 to 20 feet, but mike always wanted that rack. Kobe's usually looking to heat up and step further back as his jumper starts to warm. So no, you'd probably never even see 75 again from a big for that reason alone.. no jumper.  Well, maybe Dirk could if he REALLY wanted to, but he never will. It ain't in him. And as for 100, it'll never happen again, ESPECIALLY not by a guard, but *if* it did happen, you'd never reach 100 without at least 10 off. rebounds.

As great as Jordan was, he couldn't plan on scoring 100 and just go out and do it.
