Jordan IV Military Black - May 21, 2022

Devonte Adams was wearing these in one of his Taco Bell commercials.

…best 4s since the University Blues imo.

How has no one found that before? Just asking because that show has been heavily scrutinized for Jordans and Nikes.

I would understand if it was some other show or movie that people don't associate with Jordans.

JB with the fire samples from back in the day

Or hes a time traveler

Crazy how a new popular c/w is technically not new at all

That og mold on these prolly was beautiful

But yea good eye for dude who peeped this, maybe we should watch more of a different world to see what other samples exist

So why are 4s hyping recently? Can't be related to colabs or release volume as it's similar to the 3s, which haven't been hyped the last couple of years. I mean 4s have always be held in high regard, but the recent spike seems to have come out of nowhere. People bored of 1s and looking for 4s b/c of the new releases as of late?

IDK either, but it's been since at least 2020, not just this year.

I love the look of 4s.

I just don't enjoy wearing them very much.

Wearing 1s makes me feel like I have a Ferrari on my feet.

4s feel much bulkier.

...more like a Hummer.
I think that's because of bad retro design.

The Jordan line was trying to get lighter and sleeker every year.

I would presume that the OG 4s had to be lighter than the OG 1s, just because of all of the mesh inserts and foam midsole.

The 1s had thick leather everywhere and a heavy rubber midsole.

I think they started to get really hype once they dropped the metallic pack and those started doing numbers resale wise. Then black cat 4s went from under retail to $800+ and it’s been a wrap since.

Did a celeb wear the black cats a couple years back or something? They went on deep discount when they released. Just caught up in The Last Dance hype on everything? 4s have see increased popularity the last couple of years, but I feel as though the last 6 months this has accelerated. Maybe b/c people are bored of 1s and 4s have already been popular.

I've been a fan of 4s since '89, and much prefer the days when they were easy to get on RD, but that was before the explosion of bots, covid, and every kid trying to be a reseller. Leave me and my 4s obsession in peace please!

It's been like this since the start of the pandemic, 1s and 4s are the hardest to get.

All the other models are much easier to get unless they were a collab-hype.

Maybe you're just noticing it now, but it's been like that with 4s for the past three years.

None of it's organic imo.

Nike marketing machine has a long term plan for all of this hype.

Did heads all of a sudden decide they wanted a bunch of new Jordan 2 designs?

...Nike is the king of gaslighting.

Yeah, not sure. The FR4s during the pandemic weren't hard to get. It's become much harder in the past year.
